When using Pinterest on a computer, you can allow others to request to join your board. Some boards will allow you to request to join, based on the board owner's settings.

Allow requests to join your board
  • Log into your Pinterest account, then click your profile picture in the top-right corner of your screen to open your profile
  • Click a board to open it
  • Click  below the board name 
  • Click  next to Collaborators can...
  • Click the box next to Board requests
  • Click Done
    •

    This will add a "Join" button to your board. You'll receive an email and a push notification when someone requests to join. You can accept or decline this request from your inbox.

     
  • Open the Pinterest app on your device
  • Log into your Pinterest account and tap your profile picture in the bottom-right corner of your screen to open your profile
  • Tap a board to open it
  • Tap  at the top of your screen, below your board name
  • Tap  next to Collaborators can...
  • Toggle People can request to join this board
  • Tap Done in the top-right corner
    •

    This will add a Join button to your board. You'll receive an email and a push notification when someone requests to join. You can accept or decline this request from your inbox.
