Tag the exact products featured in your Pins to allow people on Pinterest to shop for them. You can add up to 20 products in your Pin. However, if you tag products with stickers, you can only tag up to five products and you cannot edit the stickers after publishing. 

Keep in mind that all tagged products must comply with our merchant guidelines and affiliate guidelines.
Product tagging options

There are a few different ways to tag products when you're creating a Pin.

  1. Open the Pinterest app on your device and log in to your Pinterest account.
  2. Tap at the bottom of your screen.
  3. Select the option to create a Pin.
  4. Select one or more images or videos from your device.
    • Tap  to take a new photo or video.
    • If you select more than one image or video, they'll be stitched together into a single video Pin. 
  5. Tap Next.
  6. Use the menu at the bottom of the screen to edit the image or video contents of your Pin, then tap Next.
    • You may need to tap  at the top-right corner of your image to go into edit mode.
  7. Add some information about your Pin (including a title, details, link and more).
  8. Tap Tag products.
  9. Tap  at the bottom of the screen.
  10. Tap Search Pins at the top of your screen. From here you can:
    • Select a product from your recently saved product Pins.
    • Search for more products using keywords in the search bar.
  11. Select a product to tag in your Pin.
  12. Tap  to tag more products in your Pin (you can tag up to 20 products).
    • To remove a product you tagged by mistake, tap 'X'.
  13. Tap Done.
  14. Tap Create.

    • Tap and drag the tag to reposition it int he Pin, or drag the tag to  to delete it.
  9. Use the menu at the bottom to add more effects, then tap Next.

Share your own products

If you’re a merchant, you can tag your own products from your claimed website in your Pins. Merchants and business account holders can also create a collections Pin to showcase related products. These related products will not show up in your Pin, but will be surfaced below your Pin to make it easier for people on Pinterest to shop for exact or similar items.
What happens when you tag a brand’s product

When you tag a product in your Pin, the merchant associated with that product on Pinterest will be notified and asked to review the product tags. If a merchant does not want to have their product featured, they can opt out. Once approved, people who view your Pins can then shop your tagged products.
