Review basic performance metrics right on your Pins with Pin stats. Pin stats aggregate all of the ways people have interacted with your content across Pinterest, giving you insights into how your Pins are performing.
To view your Pin stats, make sure you have a business profile. You’ll see stats on all Pins that you have created, as well as any Pins saved from your claimed website or claimed account. These stats are visible only to you.
Click on a Pin to open the Pin closeup and see your Pin stats. At the top of the screen, you’ll see the impressions, saves, and clicks from the past 30 days. Tap See more stats to see all the metrics for your Pin, and to toggle between different date range options (30 days, 7 days, 24 hours). You’ll also see the boards people are saving your Pin to, which you can use to see how people think about your Pins.
Understanding your Pin stats
- Impressions are the number of times your Pin was seen on Pinterest
- Closeups are the number of times people tapped on your Pin for a closer look
- Saves are the number of times people saved your Pin to a board
- Clicks are the number of times people clicked through your site
You’ll see stats for Pins that you created, even if they don’t link to your claimed site. These stats represent your impact on a Pin’s popularity. For example, if someone saves your Pin to their profile, then another person sees and clicks on that Pin, we’ll aggregate the data from your Pin and its downstream activity.
For Pins that link to your claimed website or claimed account, we calculate a Pin’s stats by aggregating the data for all Pins that share an image signature and URL into one view. For example, if multiple people save the same piece of content from your site—one using your on-site Save button, one using our browser extension, plus anyone else who re-saves those saves—we’ll aggregate the data from all of those Pins.
New Pins will show stats for however many days’ worth of data has been collected. For example, if your Pin was created 5 days ago, you’ll see the same Pin stats if you toggle between the 30 day and the 7 day date ranges. Numbers shown in the 24 hour option may be adjusted down in some instances as we filter out spam.
