You can create product groups manually as well as edit and delete them later. We’ll also auto create product groups as suggestions for you which cannot be edited or deleted. If you’re not interested in an auto created product group, you can ignore the suggestion.
Create product groups
Name your product groups based on the filters you select. For example, if you select “Dresses” as the Product type and “Bestsellers” as the custom label, name your product group “Bestselling dresses”. Remember that people on Pinterest will be able to see this name.
Group similar products together by category, product type and brand first, then add custom labels. Make sure you create product groups using filters that will always be in your data source. For example, if you create a product group using the brand filter, make sure the brand field of your data source is in use. If the filters you apply to a product group are not sent in the data source, that product group will have a product count of zero.
Edit your product groups
You can edit product groups you’ve manually created but you cannot edit auto created product groups created by Pinterest on your behalf.
Delete your product groups
You can delete product groups you’ve manually created but you cannot delete auto created product groups created by Pinterest on your behalf. If you’re not the account owner, you’ll need the appropriate level of access to delete product groups.
If you want to delete a product group connected to an active, paused or completed campaign, you’ll need to have access to the relevant ad account, as well as catalogs and campaign access, or admin access.
If you want to delete a product group connected to no campaign or an archived campaign, you’ll need to have catalogs access or admin access.
Auto created product groups
In addition to the product groups you create, Pinterest might also automatically generate some product groups as suggestions on your behalf. These product groups will say "Auto created for you" next to the product group name. You can feature these product groups on your business profile or promote them as shopping ads the same as you would with a manually created product group. You can also ignore these suggestions if they're not valuable or relevant to your business.
At the moment, the set of automatically created product groups is limited to the following six and are updated offline on a daily basis. For each product group (except All Products), we limit the result set to only 1,000 products. You cannot edit or delete auto created product groups.

Feature product groups on your business profile
At the top of the product groups page in Catalogs, there’s a section for featured product groups. You can select product groups to feature in a Shop tab on your business profile by clicking the star icon next to each product group name. Learn how to Create a Shop.
