Add a Pinterest widget

Add a Pinterest widget to your iOS or Android device to stay inspired and see your favourite Pins on your device’s home screen.

You can add different types of Pinterest widget to your home screen. Depending on the device, you can add:

Home feed widget (iOS/Android)	A home feed widget displays Pins from your home feed.
Boards widget (iOS only)	A boards widget displays Pins saved to a selected board. You can choose to display Pins from your own board or from a board created by a Pinner you follow.
Interests widget (iOS only)	An interests widget displays Pins based on a topic you’re interested in. You can choose from interests including home décor, inspirational quotes, beauty, food and fashion.

Note: Pinterest widget is currently only available on Android and iOS.

Download or update the Pinterest app on your device. Tap and hold the Pinterest app icon until the app menu appears, then tap Widgets

Tap and hold your preferred widget display to place it on your home screen

Tap and hold the widget at any time to move or resize the widget

Download or update the Pinterest app on your device. Tap and hold an empty space on your device's home screen until the apps begin moving

Tap + in the top left-hand corner of your home screen

Type ‘Pinterest’ in the search widget bar

Swipe to choose your preferred widget type and size, then tap Add Widget

From your home screen, tap and hold the widget, then tap Edit Widget to customise your experience or drag the widget to another location on your home screen

Edit or remove the Pinterest widget

Note: Pinterest widget is currently only available on Android and iOS.

To remove the widget: Tap and hold the widget, then drag it to Remove at the top of the screen.

To move the widget: Tap and hold the widget, then drag it to another location on your home screen.

To resize the widget: Tap and hold the widget, then release it to enter edit mode. Drag the anchor points to resize. Tap outside the widget when you have finished resizing it.

Widget troubleshooting

If your widget isn’t displaying correctly, try the following troubleshooting tips:

Open the Pinterest app and make sure you’re logged in

Update the Pinterest app to the latest version

Make sure to enable Background App Refresh for the Pinterest app

Restart your device and check to make sure it’s using the latest iOS software

Delete the widget and create a new one following the steps above

Delete and reinstall the Pinterest app on your device

You’ll need to log in again, but your data will be saved (with the exception of your Pin drafts, which are stored locally on your device)
