Edit personalisation settings

We'll sometimes show you Promoted Pins or other recommendations based on your activity on Pinterest.

We base these recommendations on things like the Pins you save or the topics you follow. If your settings allow, we may also use information from our ad partners and other sites you have visited recently to recommend things to you. For example, if you visit a lot of food blogs, we might show you more recipe Pins.

You can adjust the info we use to show you Promoted Pins and other recommendations in your settings by following the instructions below.

Edit personalisation settings

  1. Click   at the top of Pinterest to open your menu
  2. Click Edit settings
  3. Click Privacy & data
  4. Tick or untick:
    • Use sites you visit to improve which recommendations and ads you see
    • Use information from our partners to improve which recommendations and ads you see
    • Use your activity to improve the ads you see about Pinterest on other sites or apps you visit
  5. Click Done
  1. From your profile, tap   in the top right-hand corner to open your menu
  2. Tap Edit settings
  3. Scroll down to the “Personalisation” section
  4. Toggle the switches next to “Use sites you visit” “and Use ad partner info”

Your changes will be saved automatically.
