Edit your profile

Your profile allows you to share more details about yourself with others on Pinterest.

Edit your name

Your name will appear at the top of your profile and on your friends' home feeds when you save Pins. You need to provide a first name, but feel free to skip the surname if that’s more your style.

  1. Click   at the top of Pinterest to open your menu
  2. Click Edit settings
  3. Scroll down to the "Profile" section
  4. Type your new name in the "Name" field
  5. Click Save settings
  1. From your profile, tap  
  2. Tap Edit profile then tap the "Name" field
  3. Update your name and tap Done
  1. From your profile, tap   in the top right-hand corner
  2. Tap Edit profile
  3. Type your new name in the “Name” field

Your changes will be saved automatically.

Edit profile photo

Your profile photo shows others on Pinterest who you are.

  1. Click   at the top of Pinterest to open your menu
  2. Click Edit settings
  3. Scroll down to the "Profile" section
  4. Click Change picture then click Choose photo
  5. Select a photo from your computer
  6. Click Open
  7. Click Save settings
  1. From your profile, tap   then tap Edit profile
  2. Tap   in the corner of your profile picture
  3. Tap Update profile picture
  4. Choose Take a new photo or From your device’s gallery
  5. Select a photo
  1. From your profile, tap   in the top right-hand corner
  2. Tap Edit profile
  3. Tap on your profile picture
  4. Select Take a photo or Pick from camera roll
  5. Pinch to crop your photo, then tap Choose

Edit user name

Your Pinterest username is used to create your profile's web address. For example, Pinterest has the username 'Pinterest' and can be found at pinterest.com/Pinterest. Your username can be 3-30 characters and can't have spaces, symbols or punctuation.

  1. Click   at the top of Pinterest to open your menu
  2. Click Edit settings
  3. Click or scroll down to the "Profile" section
  4. Edit your username in "Username"
  5. Click Save settings

If you see the message "Oops! Username already taken", try adding numbers.

  1. From your profile, tap  
  2. Tap Edit profile
  3. Tap "Username"
  4. Update your username and tap Go

Your username will be saved automatically if it's available. If your username is already in use, try adding numbers.

  1. Click   at the top of Pinterest to open your menu
  2. Click Edit settings
  3. Click or scroll down to the "Profile" section
  4. Edit your username in "Username"
  5. Click Save settings

If you see the message "Oops! Username already taken", try adding numbers.

Edit your bio

Give others on Pinterest a taste of who you are and what you love

  1. Click   at the top of Pinterest
  2. Click Edit settings
  3. Scroll down to the "Profile" section
  4. Edit your short bio (160 characters or less) in "About you"
  5. Click Save settings
  1. From your profile, tap  
  2. Tap Edit profile
  3. Tap "About you"
  4. Update your short bio (160 characters or less) and tap Go
  1. From your profile, tap   in the top right-hand corner
  2. Tap Edit profile
  3. Tap "About you" then enter your short bio (160 characters or less)

Your changes will be saved automatically.
