Select up to 16 product groups to feature on a Shop tab on your profile and display shoppable products to people who are browsing. You can customise how your product groups are displayed and preview your shop to see what it looks like to people on Pinterest.

If you have multiple feeds, people on Pinterest will see product groups from the feed relevant to their country and language. They’ll also see a Shop by category section, which is created automatically based on the Google product group category in your feed. You cannot edit or remove this section from your shop. Below this, there is a section specific to the person viewing your shop. They’ll see recommendations based on their interests, your Most popular product group or your All products product group.

Before you get started

Before a Shop tab can appear on your profile, you have to do the following:

  • Create a business account
  • Add a data source
  • Once you’ve completed these steps, select which product groups you want to feature on your Shop tab on your profile. Your All products product group will be created and featured automatically, but you can create additional product groups if you like.

    Note: You'll see the Shop tab on your profile up to 48 hours after you've successfully added your data source.

    Feature product groups on your profile

    In addition to the All Products product group, which will be featured on your profile by default, you can select up to 16 product groups to feature on your Shop tab.

  • Log in to your Pinterest business account from your desktop
  • Click Shop below your business’ name on your profile
  • Click  the plus icon in the top right-hand corner, above your products
  • Select the product groups you want people on Pinterest to see on your Shop tab
    • If you have multiple feeds for different regions, click  the directional chevron down icon to select the feed that you want to update
  • Click Save
  • Alternatively, you can click  the star icon next to the product groups that you want to feature in the product groups section of Catalogues.

    In addition to the All Products product group, which will be featured on your profile by default, you can select up to 16 product groups to feature in the Spotlight section and up to 30 product groups in the Shop by category section of your Shop tab.

  • Log in to your Pinterest business account
  • Click Shop below your business’s name on your profile
  • Click Edit shop at the top-right, above your products
  • Select whether you want to edit the Spotlight section or the Shop by category section
    • If you have multiple feeds for different regions, click  the directional chevron down icon next to Viewing shop as: to select the feed you want to update
  • Click Select product groups, then select which product groups you want people on Pinterest to see in that section
    • To reorder the list of product groups, click [directional arrow down icon] next to Name or Type
  • Click Save
    • To change the order of your selected product groups, click and drag the icon to the left of your product groups
  • Click Save again
  • Alternatively, you can click  the star icon next to the product groups you want to feature in the product groups section of Catalogs.

    Remember:

  • Duplicate images and out-of-stock products will not be displayed on your Shop tab but will show up when you’re editing product groups, or viewing the product catalogue or product groups page
  • If you have a featured product group on your profile created from an inactive feed, it will still show up on your Shop tab until you remove it as a featured product group
  • Edit your product group’s title, description and cover image.

    1. Log in to your Pinterest business account
    2. Click Shop below your business’s name on your profile
    3. Click Edit shop at the top-right, above your products
    4. Select whether you want to edit the Spotlight section or the Shop by category section
      • If you have multiple feeds for different regions, click the directional chevron down icon next to Viewing shop as: to select the feed you want to update
    5. Click the ellipsis icon at the right of the product group you want to edit, then select Edit display 
    6. Edit your product group’s title or description
    7. Click the edit icon at the top-right corner of the current cover image
    8. Select Upload from computer to upload a new cover image
    9. Click Save

    Alternatively, you can edit your product group display in the Spotlight section by hovering your mouse over the product group you want to edit, then selecting the edit icon

    If you’ve added additional feeds for different regions, you can see what your shop looks like to people on Pinterest in these regions. If you have only one feed, that will be the default display. Note: Currently, product details in this preview are shown for your account’s region or language. People viewing your shop will see prices and other details for their region and language.

    1. Log in to your Pinterest business account 
    2. Click Shop below your business’s name on your profile
    3. Click the directional chevron down icon next to Viewing shop as to select which locale to preview

    Display your shop on your profile or choose to hide it from your profile. If you have additional feeds for different regions, you can manage the visibility for each region. Hiding your shop in any region or language will not delete or affect your product feeds in Catalogs.

    1. Log in to your Pinterest business account 
    2. Click Shop below your business’s name on your profile
    3. Click the directional chevron down icon next to Viewing shop as
    4. Click Manage shop visibility
    5. Select regions in which you’d like your shop to appear and deselect regions in which you want your shop hidden
    6. Click Save
    7. Click Hide shop to confirm
