Duplicate a campaign or ad group

Duplicating allows you to reuse previously successful campaigns and ad groups. When you duplicate a campaign or an ad group, all of the ad groups or Promoted Pins in it will also be duplicated. You can edit all of these entities during duplication.

Duplicate a campaign or ad group

  1. From your Pinterest business account, click Ads
  2. Click Reporting
  3. In the reporting table, tick the box next to the campaign or ad group you want to duplicate
  4. Click Duplicate above the search bar
  5. Select the number of campaigns or ad groups you want to create and click Duplicate 
  6. Make changes to your new campaigns or ad groups
    • When duplicating a campaign or duplicating an ad group to a new campaign:
      • You can edit at the campaign, ad group and ad levels
      • You can copy campaigns and ad groups into new campaigns with different objectives to test the same ad group against different objectives
    • When duplicating an ad group to an existing campaign:
      • You can edit at the ad group and ad levels
  7. Click Review copies
  8. If you set up your duplicated campaign or ad group properly, you'll see a message prompting you to review your new entities
    • If you can't see this message, you may have some setup errors
      • Check for any items in orange text in the navigation on the left-hand side of the page
      • Click the orange text to go directly to the error
      • Fix the errors and click Review copies
  9. Click Create campaigns or Create ad groups to create your new entities

Note: you can't duplicate Carousel, shopping or archived campaigns.

Check the status of your duplicated campaign

From your Pinterest business account, click Ads then select Ad account history. Your duplicated campaign or ad group name will be in the 'Entity changed' column.
