When you create a Pin, you can add alternative text to your Pin to explain what people can see in your Pin. This makes your Pin more accessible to people with visual impairments by helping them understand what’s happening in your Pin. At this time, you can only add alternative text to static  Pins. If you have a business account, you can also add alt text to video Pins.

Alternative text descriptions will only be read to people using a screen reader to access Pinterest on the web or their mobile device. Read this article to learn how to turn on a screen reader for Pinterest.
