To control who can see your profile, boards and Pins, you can set your profile to private or public. Private profiles won't appear in search results on Pinterest or in search engines, but you can invite people you know to follow you.

Before you get started
  • You must be at least 16 years old to edit your profile visibility. Learn more about teen safety on Pinterest.
  • If you have a business account, you'll need to change it to a personal account in order to make your profile private.
  • Manage your profile visibility
  • Log in to your Pinterest account
  • Click  the chevron-down icon  at the top-right corner to open your menu
  • Click Settings
  • Click Profile visibility at the left side of the screen
  • Toggle the switch next to Private profile
  •  

  • Open the Pinterest app on your device and log in to your Pinterest account
  • Tap on your profile picture at the bottom-right corner
  • Then, tap your profile photo at the top-left of your screen
  • Tap Profile visibility
  • Toggle the switch next to Private profile
  • Note: If you have a business account, you can access your settings by logging in to your Pinterest account, tapping your profile photo at the bottom-right of the screen and then tapping  the ellipsis icon  at the top-right corner.

     

  • Open the Pinterest app on your device and log in to your Pinterest account
  • Tap on your profile picture at the bottom-right corner
  • Then, tap your profile photo at the top-left of your screen
  • Tap Profile visibility
  • Toggle the switch next to Private profile
  • Note: If you have a business account, you can access your settings by logging in to your Pinterest account, tapping your profile photo at the bottom-right of the screen and then tapping  the ellipsis icon  at the top-right corner.
