When you’re ready to set up the passcode, you’ll create a four-digit passcode and enter your email address. You’ll need to access this email to make changes to the passcode.
The passcode will expire when your teen turns 18 based on the date of birth in their account. Your email address will be deleted after the parental passcode is turned off or it expires.
If you're a parent or caregiver living in the EU, we rely on your legitimate interests to use your email address for the purpose of confirming, managing, and if necessary, recovering the passcode. We’ll use your email address for these reasons, and for as long as the passcode is active on your teen’s account.

Once you’ve set up a passcode for your teen’s account, you and your teen will receive a confirmation email.
You and your teen will receive an email to confirm that the passcode has been turned off on their account.
