You can only set up two-factor authentication on your desktop.
If you enable two-factor authentication, you'll have to enter both your password and a verification code every time you log in to Pinterest. Once set up, you'll receive an email to confirm that two-factor authentication is active on your Pinterest account.
You can link a phone number to one account. If you want to enable two-factor authentication on more than one account, you'll need more than one phone number with texting enabled.
Turn on two-factor authentication
- From your desktop, log into Pinterest
- Click the arrow icon at the top-right, then select Settings
- Click Security on the left-side of the screen
- Check the box next to Require code at login
- Confirm your Password and click Next
- Add your Phone Number and click Next
- Check your text messages for a code sent by SMS
- Enter your Verification Code and click Verify
Note: Be sure to write down your backup code and keep it somewhere safe. If you enable two-factor authentication and don't have access to your phone, your backup code is the only way you can log into Pinterest.
