Edit app sounds

App sounds are sounds that the Pinterest app makes when you take certain actions, such as saving Pins from closeups, creating new boards or following a user.

When your app sounds are switched on, your phone will vibrate when you take these actions.

App sounds only occur if your phone is not in silent mode, if the volume is on and the volume is greater than 0%.

Switching off the app sounds automatically switches off the vibrations, too. You can control your app sounds in your Pinterest app settings by following the steps below.

If you find you can't hear video Pins, you may need to manage your autoplay settings.

Currently, you can only update app sounds on your Android or iOS device.

Open the Pinterest app on your device and

Tap your profile picture at the bottom-right corner of the screen

Then, tap your profile photo at the top-left of your screen

Tap Account management

Toggle the switch next to App sounds to turn the sound on or off

Your changes will save automatically.

Note: If you have a business account, you can access your account settings by logging in to your Pinterest account, tapping your profile photo at the bottom-right of the screen and then tapping the ellipsis icon at the top-right corner.
