Minimum age requirement
In some countries, such as the Member States of the European Union, the consent of a parent or guardian is required for teens age 13-16 to use Pinterest. If you are under the age required by your country and do not have parental consent to use Pinterest, you won’t be able to use Pinterest.
For teens requiring parental consent
We’ll ask for your parent or guardian’s contact info when you sign up. If your parent or guardian consents to you using Pinterest, we’ll send you an email to let you know.
If you’re an existing user of Pinterest and are under the allowed age for your country, your account will be deactivated if you do not act promptly. If your account has been deactivated, you will not be able to log in to Pinterest.
If you were deactivated and want to request parental consent, please contact us to help you reactivate your account.
Please take action immediately. If your account is deactivated, we may not be able to reactivate it if you delay.
For parents of teens requiring parental consent
When your teen signs up for a Pinterest account, we’ll request your approval before letting them use their Pinterest account.
We’ll send you an email to ask for consent for your teen to use Pinterest. If you want to consent, follow the steps in the email. If you do not want your teen to use Pinterest, you can ignore the email.
If you have given consent for your child to use Pinterest, you can contact us to withdraw that consent at any time.
If you still have questions on age limits and parental consent, please contact us.
