We'll be spending some time with our families from July 3rd to July 5th, and might be slow to respond over the weekend. We'll be back in action on Monday, July 6th.

Having trouble logging in? What seems to be the problem?

You need to reset your password
We don't recognize your email
Your account is in safe mode
Your account was suspended
You can’t log in with Facebook, Twitter or Google+
Your email is old/inaccessible
If you forgot your password (or simply need to reset it), we can send you a link to reset it.

To reset your password:
  1. Request a password reset by giving us your email address
  2. Check your inbox for an email to reset your password
  3. Click the link in the email and enter a new password
Once you reset your password, you'll need to update it on all of your devices (if you use more than one device to use Pinterest).

You can't use any recently used passwords. We do this to keep your account safe and can't make any exceptions.

If we don't recognize your email address, there are a few things you can try.

  1. If your account's connected to Facebook or Twitter, click Log in with Facebook or Log in with Twitter when logging in
  2. Request a password reset using your email addresses, including any emails you may have used in the past
  3. Try logging in with a typo'd email address and your password. Common typos are:

Safe mode is our way of protecting your account if we see suspicious activity.

Suspicious activity includes (but isn't limited to) things like:
  • Logins from unusual locations
  • Many logins within a short period of time
  • Spammy behavior
To remove safe mode, all you need to do is reset your password. Resetting your password logs all devices out of your account, so only you will have access to your account.

If your account is linked to Facebook or Twitter, you can log in using those to lift safe mode and access your account.

If your account’s suspended, you’ll see an error message when you try to log in. It may be because you did something that went against our Acceptable Use Policy.

We have policies and tools in place to keep Pinterest a safe and trustworthy site. Sometimes we make mistakes though, so if you think we shouldn’t have suspended your account, get in touch with us

Make sure to check out our content policies to see what's allowed on Pinterest.

If you're having trouble logging in with Facebook, Twitter or Google+, there are a few things you can try.

  1. Make sure you're logged into the Facebook/Twitter/Google+ account that's linked to Pinterest - if you're logged out or if you try to log in using the wrong account, you'll have trouble logging into the correct Pinterest account
  2. Check that you have popups turned on - a login window will prompt you to log in, or will log you in automatically if you're already logged into Facebook/Twitter/Google+
  3. Try logging in with your email and password - you can request a password reset if you can't remember it
If you created your Pinterest account using Facebook, Twitter or Google+, the email address on your Pinterest account is likely the same address that's on your Facebook, Twitter or Google+ account.

You can still log in with your old email if you remember your password. Try logging in by typing in your old email address and possible passwords your might have used. Or if you're connected to Facebook or Twitter, just log in with those.

Once you log in, you can update your email address in settings.

If you don't have access to your email address, unfortunately we can't reset your password since we can't confirm it's your account. The best thing to do in this case is to create a new account. You can Pin items from your old account to your new account and follow people you were following before.
