Multiple account problems

Get help for:

Do you have more than one Pinterest account? What seems to be the problem?

You want to merge accounts
You're logged in to the wrong account
Your email is being used on two Pinterest accounts
You got a new phone and you somehow have a new account

You can't merge accounts, but here are some options:

  1. Keep all accounts, and make sure each account is connected with an up-to-date email address
  2. Choose one account to keep and deactivate the extra accounts

Keep in mind that deactivating an account won't free up the email address on it. Each email address can only be connected to one Pinterest account at a time. If you want to free up the address on an account, change it to something else in settings before you deactivate.

If you don't have access to your original account, keep your new account and Pin things from your original account to your new one. We don't have a way to transfer or move multiple Pins, so you'll need to manually Pin each Pin.

To fix the problem, just log out of the account:

  1. Click your profile button in the top right corner
  2. Click the three-dot button, then Log out

If you're having trouble doing this because you're automatically being logged in, clear your browser's cache and cookies.

Each email address can only be linked to one Pinterest account at a time.

If you have multiple email addresses, try logging in with any other email addresses that you own.

It's likely that you accidentally created a new account instead of logging in.

  • If you created a new account with a different email address, deactivate the new account.
  • If you created a new account with a social network like Facebook or Google+:
  1. Disconnect from the social network in your settings so that you can connect to it on your other account
  2. Deactivate the account in your settings
