Business Manager allows businesses to create custom groups of assets based on how you’d like to manage your accounts across geography, brand, and vertical.

You can add profiles and ad accounts to these groups then select which employees, partners, and permissions to grant for those assets. Ad accounts and profiles can be included in multiple asset groups.

Set-up an asset group:
  • Login to your Pinterest business account.
  • Click  the menu icon in the top-left corner of your screen.
  • Under Business, select Business Manager.
  • Click the Assets tab on the left hand side.
  • Click Assets group.
  • Enter the name and optional description of your asset group. This name will be visible to all employees with access to your business account.
  • Select the type of asset group you are creating.
  • Click Create.
  • Add assets to your new asset group by selecting Ad accounts to include. You can choose to add or remove Ad accounts after you create an asset group. Use the search bar to narrow down a long list of Ad accounts.
  • Click Next when you’ve checked the box for all Ad accounts that you would like to include.
  • Add users to your asset group by selecting employees who should have access.
  • Employee access and permissions

Employees can only view and access ad accounts you assign them to. They cannot see details about other employees, external partners, or other ad accounts.

You can choose to set permissions for the employees you have added to your asset group. After adding an employee to the asset group, add permissions using the drop down menu.

If an employee already has access to an asset within the group, they will retain the highest permissions they are granted. If you do not assign permissions to employees or partners, they will not be able to access your ad accounts or campaign assets.

Employees and partners can be removed from an existing asset group but if they have pre-existing permissions for those ad accounts or profiles, they will retain those original permissions. You can also edit the permissions for employees and partners that you have already added.
