Creating Pins is a great way for your business to showcase creativity and own your brand presence on Pinterest.

Pins are ideas on Pinterest that people can discover and save to their boards. As a business, you can create Pins to advertise your products and exhibit your ideas, and you can link them back to your website. You can create image Pins or video Pins that will autoplay in users’ feeds. If you become an advertiser on Pinterest, you can also create Promoted Pins.  

 

Build a Pin on iOS

  1. Navigate to the   on your mobile device and click  
  2. Select Pin 
  3. Choose a video or image from your gallery that you would like to Pin 
  4. If creating a video Pin, slide the selector left or right to the image in your video that you would like as your cover photo
  5. Add a title, cover image, description, and destination website
  6. Select a board for your Pin and it will automatically save

To track the performance of your image or video Pin, check out your Pin stats or navigate to analytics.pinterest.com.

Video Pin specs 

File type .mp4 or .mov
File size 2GB max
Encoding H.264
Length 4 seconds - 15 minutes
Description up to 500 characters long, though only the first few lines will show in feed
Aspect ratio 1:2 and taller than 1.91:1. We accommodate standard video sizes including widescreen (16:9), square (1:1), and vertical (9:16, 4:5, 2:3). 

 

Build a Pin on Web

  1. Login to your business account and click   or Create Pin from the homepage.
  2. Click   and upload an image or video to Pin
  3. If creating a video Pin, slide the selector left or right to the image in your video that you would like as your cover photo
  4. Give the Pin a title, description, and add it to a board using the drop down menu under ‘Choose a board'.
  5. Enter a website to link the video or image to.
  6. Click Publish.

To track the performance of your image or video Pin, check out your Pin stats or navigate to analytics.pinterest.com.
