Hosted checkout lets merchants host their checkout page within a webview on the Pinterest app. This means people can browse products on their mobile devices, select their preferred product details from the product Pin, then jump straight to a merchant’s checkout page.

Shopify merchants that meet the requirements outlined below can enable hosted checkout within the Shopify app. Hosted checkout will only apply to organic product Pins, created from your catalog.

Requirements

Checkout via Shopify is currently available to certain US merchants who meet the following requirements:

  • Shopify store has a US billing address
  • Member of the Verified Merchant Program
  • Uses the Shopify app integration, and has at least one feed with the country set to ‘US’ and the locale set to contain ‘en-US’
  • Only has Shopify feeds (does not have active non-Shopify feeds uploaded to Pinterest)
  • Accepts returns
  • Has an email address for customer support inquiries
  • Exceeds monthly checkout conversions threshold
  • Note: We’re still rolling out this new feature and adjusting requirements as we go. If you’re not eligible and cannot enable checkout via Shopify yet, stay tuned.
