Delete comments or photos on your Pin

When someone on Pinterest tries a Pin, feels inspired, or has a question, they can post photos and comments to let other people know how it went (what worked, what didn’t work), get advice from other people, and leave helpful tips for others who might want to give it a try.

Pinterest is a positive place. It’s where people come to get the inspiration they need to build a life they love. That’s why anything anyone posts on Pinterest must follow our Community Guidelines. If someone posts a negative comment or photo on a Pin saved from your claimed website, there are a few things you can do.

If the comment or photo is unflattering or critical, respond with a comment of your own. Most people are just trying to help out others with their reviews or advice. We recommend you leave the original comment or photo where it is and simply reply with your own advice or encouragement.

If the comment or photo goes against the Pinterest Community Guidelines, you can delete it.

  1. Log into your Pinterest business profile
  2. Open the photo or comment you want to delete
  3. Click and select Delete or Report

If your Pin keeps getting inappropriate comments or photos posted on it, you can turn off comments and tries for that Pin.

  1. Log into your Pinterest business profile
  2. Open the Pin and click in the top left corner
  3. Turn off the "Allow people to comment" or "Allow people to upload photos" setting
  4. Click Save

Use the engagement tab to see how people are trying your Pins and respond to or delete comments or photos on your Pins in one place. You can also turn off the ability for people to comment or upload photos on any of your Pins.

  1. Click the megaphone icon to open the engagement tab in the top right corner.
  2. Click on a comment or photo on the left. The comment or photo will open in the center of the screen.
  3. Click  and select “Delete” or “Report this content”.

Thanks for helping us keep Pinterest the kind of helpful, positive place people love.
