Set up a free Pinterest business account to get access to analytics on your Pins and the ability to run ads. There are two ways to get a business account on Pinterest:

  • Create a new business account
  • Convert a personal account into a business account
  • Personal and business accounts on Pinterest are similar, but business accounts include features that are helpful to business owners and marketers. This includes access to the Pinterest Business Hub and Pinterest Analytics, where you can review analytics for your Pins

Business accounts also give advertisers and merchants the ability to create Idea ads, video ads, carousels, collections ads, product catalogs and more.

    Create a new business account

Create a new business account that’s not connected to any other Pinterest accounts.

To create a new business account, the email you use to sign up must not already be in use on an existing Pinterest account.

If you're an employee or an agency partner creating a business account to access your company’s or client’s ad account, we recommend using your professional email and your own name rather than the name of your business. This helps the owner of the account identify and validate the people who have access to their account.

Convert your personal account into a business account

You can convert your personal account to a business account. Business accounts are public on Pinterest, so if your personal account is set to private, it must be switched to public in order to convert to a business account. Your Pins and followers will remain the same. You can switch back to a personal account at any time.

If your personal account is linked to another Pinterest account, you’ll need to unlink your account before you can convert it to a business account.

Note: It's no longer possible to link a personal account to a business account. If you previously linked your accounts, they’ll remain connected unless you unlink them.
