Profile permissions in
Employees and partners with Publisher permission will have access to all of the following features within a brand’s profile. Permissions are not customizable.
Note: Once assigned the Publisher role, employees and partners can create, edit, and organize Pins and boards without a business’s approval.
- Edit profile cover photo
- Create/edit/view: Public boards
- Create/edit/view: Secret boards
- Delete boards
- Archive & merge boards
- Board collaboration
- Create: Organic Pins, Idea ads, standard image ads, video ads, carousel ads, shopping ads, collections ads
- Edit/delete: all Pin formats
- Take actions on the Pin details page like move to another board, tag products, add note to self, add comments
- Schedule Pins to publish in the future
- View individual Pin stats
Employees must be added in Business Manager before you can assign them the Publisher permission. There are two employee role options:
After a business sends an invite to an employee’s business account, that employee must accept it in order for the relationship to be established and to start working on assigned ad accounts or profiles.
Your invite has been sent and is now waiting on an acceptance. An email notification will be sent to your employee, asking them to accept it and you will receive email confirmation when they have accepted.
Tips for adding employees
Partners are outside businesses, such as agencies or clients, that you work with. This is recommended for brands that want to add their agencies and share assets with them.
When a partner is added, the process is a two-sided opt-in. After one business adds another as a partner, the other must accept it in order for the relationship to be established in Business Manager and to start working on assigned ad accounts or profiles.
Tips for adding partners
When a partner request is sent through Business Manager, the recipient’s business account owner and Business Manager managers will be notified.
After the request has been accepted, the user will land on the Partners section of their Business Manager and see the new business relationship established.
Once an employee or partner has been added to Business Manager, profile permissions can be assigned to them.
Note: Assigning the ‘publisher’ permission to a partner will not automatically allow all of their employees to access your profile, boards, and Pins. Your partner must in turn assign the Publisher permission to their employees, which the partner’s account owners or managers can do in Business Manager.
When a partner invite is sent through Business Manager, the recipient’s business account owner and Business Manager managers will be notified. An invite is generally sent by a brand who wants their agencies to manage their ad accounts.
