If you're looking to drive more traffic to your website, you can easily promote a Pin right from your profile.
After you log into Pinterest, click on your profile picture on the top right and select View profile.
Find and hover over the Pin that you want to promote.
On the dialog that pops up, check the Destination URL to make sure the Pin links to the page you want to drive traffic to. You can choose to add any url parameters here to track the source of your traffic.
Choose for your campaign to run continuously or for a specific duration of time. You can limit the total amount you spend by setting your campaign to run for a specific duration and setting a lifetime budget. Alternatively, if you want your campaign to run continuously, you can set a daily budget, which is the maximum you would like to spend per day for this promoted Pin.
Add your keywords to reach people as they search for specific ideas on Pinterest. You can use the ones we have automatically suggested or add your own. Your keywords should be related to the Pin you’re promoting—for instance, if you’re promoting living room furniture, try targeting people searching for “living room decor” or “home decor ideas.”
You cannot select your bid when creating an ad using Quick Promote. The amount you pay per click will be automatically calculated based on the selected keywords. In general, the more popular the keywords, the higher the bid. If you want to be able to set manual bids, create an ad campaign via Ads Manager.
Click Promote to finish creating your ad
Once you click Promote, we will review your ad to make sure it follows our advertising guidelines. This process can take up to 24 hours.
You'll begin to see metrics for your traffic campaign in Ads Manager after your ad is reviewed and approved. You can switch to an ‘hourly’ view in Ads Manager to see the most recent metrics for a new campaign.
Campaigns created using the quick promote feature will automatically default to targeting all genders, devices and locations within your country to help your ad get the most reach. If you want to refine this targeting, edit the campaign in Ads Manager.
