When someone takes an action on your website, such as signing up for a newsletter or buying a product, this is known as a conversion. You can get conversion reporting for nine types of activity on your website and review it on Ads Manager:

  • PageVisit: Records views of primary pages, such as product pages and article pages
  • ViewCategory: Records views of category pages
  • Search: Records searches on your website
  • AddToCart: Records when items are added to shopping carts
  • Checkout: Records completed transactions
  • WatchVideo: Records video views 
  • Signup: Records sign-ups for your products or services
  • Lead: Records interest in your products or services
  • Custom: Records a special event unique to your site that you want to include in your reporting
  • View conversion reporting
  • Log into your Pinterest business account
  • Click Ads, then click Reporting
  • Click  the directional chevron down icon on top-right above the table and select Performance
  • Depending on what event codes you’ve added to your site, they will be listed throughout the table along with the number of times they’ve happened during the selected timeframe.

    Select graph filters

    Use the graph filters at the top of the screen to edit your reporting view.

  • Date range: Select a date range you want to view
  • Objective: Select Conversions to view your conversions on the graph
  • Status: Select one or more campaign statuses to view
  • Conversion settings: Select a conversion window, data and source
  • Create a table filter
  • Log into your Pinterest business account
  • Click Ads at the top of your screen, then click Reporting
  • Click  the pencil icon at the top-right above the reporting table
  • Click  the directional chevron right icon next to a category to review, select or  deselect columns from the table
  • Click the directional chevron left icon  to close a category
  • Once complete, click Save for later
  • Either Save as a new table and Name your custom table or Override an existing table by selecting it from the Select existing table dropdown
  • If you’d like to see your new table every time you open your reporting page, check the box next to Make this table your default
  • Click Save
  • Export data from the reporting dashboard
  • Log into your Pinterest business account
  • Click Ads at the top of your screen, then click Reporting
  • Click Export above the reporting table, then select the data you’d like to export
  • Your selected report type will download as a CSV.
