Promoted Video

Promoted Video are clips you can post as Pins to help people discover your brand on Pinterest through sight, sound and motion. Promoted Video automatically plays in feeds as people browse and search for ideas.

Video is available in two different formats: standard width and max width. Promoted Video at standard width is the same size as other Pins. Promoted Video at max width spans the two-column feed on mobile. Both formats are available through Pinterest Marketing Partners and our Ads Manager. If you have a business account, you can upload both formats via the video uploader accessible through pinterest.com and ads.pinterest.com, and Bulk Editor.

Promoted Video at max width works just like our standard Promoted Video with autoplay, with just a few exceptions. The minimum bids for max width videos are a bit higher. Users can initiate audio in-feed for max width videos by tapping the audio icon or toggling their volume button. Audio defaults to the user's device settings upon closeup.

How it Works

A Promoted Video will autoplay in-feed when it’s 50% in view. The user can then tap to open a closeup on the video and watch it in a larger view. The video will loop in feed. In closeup, the user can hit play to watch the video again.

Standard width video and targeting is available on iPhone, Android, iPad, and Android tablet. Max width video and targeting is available on iPhone and Android phones only.
