Claim your website

After you claim your website, any Pins that come from your site will have your profile picture added next to them. You’ll also get access to website analytics so you can see what people are saving from your website.

To claim your website, you need to be able to edit your website's HTML code.

There are two ways to claim your site: with a meta tag or by uploading an HTML file—detailed instructions are below. Note that you can claim your site for top-level domains like www.example.com. If your website looks like www.example.com/example, it isn't a top-level domain.

Use a meta tag

Step 1: Get the meta tag

  1. Navigate to your Account settings
  2. In the Claim Website section, enter your website URL and click on Claim website
  3. Select the Add HTML tag option
  4. Copy the meta tag
  5. Click Next

Step 2: Add it to your website

Idagdag 'to sa <head> section ng index.html file ng 'yong website bago ang <body> section

Step 3: Finish setting up

Go back to Pinterest and click Submit—we’ll automatically check the meta tag and claim your site

Upload an HTML file

Step 1: Get the file

  1. Navigate to your Account settings
  2. In the Claim Website section, enter your website URL and click on Claim website
  3. Select the Upload HTML file option
  4. Download the file
  5. Click Next

Step 2: Upload this file to your website

Upload the HTML file to your web server at the root folder (don't upload to a subfolder or we won't be able to access it). Root folder names vary by provider—common ones are public_html, www, or wwwroot.

Step 3: Finish setting up

Go back to Pinterest and click Submit—we’ll automatically check the file and claim your site

You can claim your site for top-level domains like www.example.com. If your website looks like www.example.com/example, it isn't a top-level domain.

HTML file upload and HTML meta tags are the only ways to claim your site on Pinterest. You won’t be able to claim your site for Etsy, Moonfruit, ArtFire, and drag-and-drop web builders.

Yes, after you're done claiming, you can remove the file or tag.

Keep in mind that making changes to your website in your Pinterest settings means you'll lose the claim and have to claim your website again.

No, if you already claimed your website on one account and you’d like it for another, you’ll have to remove your website from the first account first. Then you’ll need to go through the setup steps again on the new Pinterest account.

Right now, you can only have one website on your profile, and a website can only be claimed by one Pinterest account.

Verified accounts are different from claimed websites since they're only available for certain notable names and brands.
